Memorial Service for the Rt. Rev. Dr. John H. Rodgers, Jr.

Our own Rt. Rev. Dr. John H. Rodgers, Jr., beloved Anglican theologian, seminary dean, bishop, U.S. Marine veteran, husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with God on November 23 at the age of 92. Known as one of the Anglican Communion’s foremost evangelical theologians and a prominent scholar of the 39 Articles, Rodgers was a founding professor of Trinity School for Ministry, later serving as Dean/President from 1976 to 1990. Rodgers lived out his retirement in our diocese, continuing to teach, serve at the seminary, and encourage our local churches and clergy.
