About the Rev. Peter Coelho
Peter moved to Austin, Texas, in the fall of 2011 with his wife, Shannon, and daughter, Lucy, to serve at Christ Church. Originally from Vancouver, Peter completed theological studies at Regent College and communication studies at Simon Fraser University. Peter and Shannon were married in 2004, are originally from western Canada, and spent their first two years of marriage living in Hiroshima, Japan. They, along with Lucy, have spent the last 13 years in Austin. Emmett, their Texan son, was added to the mix in 2013. After four years on staff at Christ Church, Peter and Shannon were sent out with several dozen others to plant Church of the Cross in northeast Austin in late 2015. COTC has grown to be a vibrant and joyful community of 400.
