And as with all great adventures, it is filled with joys and sorrows, perils and consolations, all along the way."
As we look forward to an increasingly busy season of fall programming in our churches, Bishop Alex encourages us to lean into our sense of adventure, firmly rooted in the strength and refuge of God. This message was inspired by an anonymous quote the bishop recently encountered in A Failure of Nerve by Edwin Friedman, "The safest place for ships is in the harbor, but that's not why ships were built."
