2017 Diocesan Symposium on Discipleship UPDATE

Discipleship Symposium

Dear Clergy and Ministry Leaders,

We are writing to update you regarding the upcoming Diocesan Discipleship Symposium slated for next weekend April 28-29 at Trinity School for Ministry. Over the past few weeks we have had conversations with a good number of ministry leaders in our diocese. We have observed that there are many who are deeply invested in this ministry and there is keen interest on the topic. We have heard that this is both a busy time of year and a busy time in the life of the diocese. Many have suggested that a two-day gathering requires a lot of commitment at this time. As a result, the planning team has decided that the most effective way to involve as many participants as possible is to undertake a two-step process.

In place of the originally scheduled two-day symposium, conversation/panelists will gather on Saturday morning April 29, 2017 at St. Stephen’s Anglican, Sewickley from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. They will meet for a round table discussion about discipleship in the diocese, setting the stage for a broader diocesan conversation at a second, day-long symposium to take place at the end of summer/start of autumn programming at Trinity School for Ministry. The date will be announced shortly. We hope you will plan to join us then. If you have already registered, please note that refunds will be issued this week.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact either of us via the information listed below.

We look forward to sharing this event with you, anticipating much fruit for the kingdom.

Ever yours in Christ,

The Rev. Dr. John Paul Chaney
The Rev. Dr. Jack Gabig
