Short Description

Trinity School for Ministry is seeking to hire a full-time Communications Assistant for Graphic and Web Design to enhance and help accomplish the objectives of the Communications Department.

Responsibilities: conceptualize and develop communication materials (ads, brochures, flyers, postcards, invitations, directories, Seed & Harvest magazine, academic catalog, and devotionals) using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; provide support to other departments in generating new and update existing communications and web materials; develop and produce communication and web materials for conferences and events hosted by Trinity; collaborate with co-workers to ensure accuracy of information in publications and web; manage in-house print production (printing, cutting, folding, binding, ordering supplies); design, update, and maintain Trinity websites (regular content updating, design of individual pages – both static and dynamic, theme management); design graphic images as needed for website updates; provide web support for the Trinity Store; independently manage multiple projects at one time; proofread own work for accuracy; manage relationships with vendors and outside sales reps; assist with social media platforms as needed; utilize Asana Project Management system (training provided); execute other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing, Publications, and Public Relations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to use Google Drive and Google Docs; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and InDesign; excellent design and editing skills; working knowledge of content management systems for websites and email marketing including Wordpress, Mailchimp, and Drupal; excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; experience in graphic and web design required; portfolio consisting of original graphic and web design work; experience with Christian theological higher education preferred.

Personal Qualifications: Commitment to Christ; good work ethic; ability to self-manage; ability to adapt to the changing needs of the department; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
